FOR THE BOSS OR MANAGER

When your most-engaged employee is shipping less than they were six months ago.

AI tools haven't quite delivered the productivity bump on every team. For neurodivergent teammates especially, they sometimes do the opposite — three weeks researching tools, no shipped output. Deskrune is a vocabulary and a kit library that treats the pattern as an organizational question, not a performance one.

DESKRUNE

For when you come back.

01THE PATTERN

What's actually happening.

Tool-Switching Tax (AFM-10), Over-Iteration Spiral (AFM-9), and Hyperfocus Tunnel (AFM-1) all look like 'engaged work' from the outside. They feel like work to the person doing them. But none of them ship. The named-mode framework lets you have a conversation about the loop without it landing as a performance review.

03THE PROTOCOL

The manager's playbook.

  1. 01Read the 10 AFM pages yourself first. The framework is more useful than any individual kit.
  2. 02When 1:1s touch on AI workflows, ask about iteration count and shipping cadence — not hours worked. The named modes give you neutral language.
  3. 03If your team has a learning budget, the Deskrune AI OS ($49) is appropriate as an individual reimbursement — it covers all 10 modes.
  4. 04We do not sell team licenses. The kit is owned by the person who reads it. Honor that — don't hand it to a team and ask them to apply it.
  5. 05The free 5-pager is appropriate for an all-hands or async share. The full kits are not.
04HONEST LIMITS

We're not an HR product.

Deskrune isn't a corporate training program, an LMS module, or a wellness benefit. It's a small content library with named protocols. We don't measure team metrics. We don't have an enterprise tier. If you want one, we are not the right vendor.

One email every other week. The newsletter occasionally addresses managers directly when an AFM has org-level implications.
