How it works. Standard Corsi block-tapping task — used since 1972 to measure visuospatial working memory. Typical adult span is 5–7 blocks. ADHD adults often score 4–5; lower in tired or stimulant-off states. The number is a snapshot, not a diagnosis — it varies more by sleep + medication than by anything else.
