We store the centroid into a 5-minute KV bucket with a 1-hour TTL. After 60 minutes the bucket vanishes. No IPs, no deskrune-id, no per-user trail. The jitter (~±0.08°) keeps two people in the same city from stacking. Opt-out is honored before any write; check the box and refresh.
