How presence works. When you open /focus/, your browser pings /api/presence every 1.5s with no PII (just a salt-hashed deskrune-id and a normalized 0-1 position). That ping decays in 10 seconds. The number here is the count of distinct hashes seen in the last 10 seconds across /focus/. Close the tab and your dot fades.
